Guide to download, install and troubleshoot AssessPrep Safe Exam Browser rev 2.0
*The error for Windows Users wherein Google Chrome has to be set as Default Browser first for Safe Exam Browser to initiate has already been fixed. Please feel free to use preferred browser.
I. Download the (SEB) app from your AssessPrep account.
Login to your AssessPrep account thru app.assessprep.com using the Login with Google option with your STAND or STS email address.

Once logged in, go to the Download apps tab located at the left side of the webpage.
Select the correct horizontal tabs to download the installer for your platform/operating system (i.e. Windows installer is on the second horizontal)

After downloading the installer, run it. Installation time will vary depending on the components of Safe Exam browser that are already installed on your device, specifically for Windows.
It will look like that the installation is stuck sometimes, but it is most likely that most of the software components are not yet installed in your system.
II. Initiating the Safe Exam Browser
1. There are two ways to initiate Safe Exam Browser to open in AssessPrep login page.
1.a On the login webpage of AssessPrep, click on the Launch SEB button located at the bottom of the page.

1.b If you are already logged in to your AssessPrep account on your browser, search for an exam that requires SEB using the ‘Join’ code. Once, queried successfully, it will have a button on the right side that will also say Start in SEB.

2. Once Start in SEB/Launch SEB button has been clicked, a pop-up will appear. Please ensure to tick the check box then click the Open Safe Exam Browser

3. During the startup of SEB, you will see additional pop-ups asking you to close applications such as Chrome, Teams, Discord and others that can compromise the integrity of the exam. Just click the Yes button to close those applications but ensure to save, if needed, first before proceeding.
*Tip: It is better to reboot your computer before taking exam/using AssessPrep Safe Exam Browser. This is to ensure your system is up-to date and no other processes are running at the background.

4. Once SEB has successfully started on your computer, it will open to the AssessPrep login page (Almost the same webpage as you were going to app.assessprep.com in your browser). Hence, just use the Login with Google button again. Then, use your STAND or STS email address to login.
