How to disable Norton Port Scanning

What does Port Scanning do?

Port Scanning checks the network for weak points or "open doors" within the network.

Why is this a problem?

Scanning a network for vulnerabilities makes your computer seem like a potential threat which will raise an alert, and may result in your device being quarantined (blocked from the network).

How do I disable this feature?

Open Norton and navigate to: Security - > Advanced - > Smart Firewall

Under "Wi-Fi Security" uncheck "Port Scan"
